H2 SX SE Sport Touring bike

Tell that to Kurt Worden on his Ninja 250! If memory serves he's finished 3 times and as high as something-like 20th.... But true, its unlikely that we'd see a field full of H2's regardless if someone figures out how to hang an aux tank to it or not.

    It's a good day

That's great to hear Ray - good luck to you both during her recovery!

What did you do to your FJR today?

Got it running again with the AVCC working! Installed a relay to eliminate the stray voltage on the purple line and we're back in business. Many thanks to Brodie, Bergmen, and Dmitry (an EE at work who walked me through the relay fundamentals). Unfortunately it means that the '08 stays in the...

I need an Audieovox Cruise expert......

So back to this thread: 1) My good friend and unpaid consultant Brodie helped me go through electrical troubleshooting. Everything seemed good in terms of connections and contact, and matched the expectations provided in Bergmen's guide. 2) However there was a small voltage on the purple...

Black Hills Roundup II - Official Sign up List

So who on this thread is going off roading? My plan is to ride most if not all of the DAKAL on my KTM690 Enduro and sleeping in a tent under the stars whenever possible. Anyone else have an idea for the same?

    Looking for purchase advice

I can't testify to long term use, but in the test ride I took earlier this year on a '17ES, I'd say its the silkiness of the transmission that stood out the most to me. They never let us stretch out to get even above 3rd gear (guided rides suck) but that's what I thought as the most "new". My...

    Thunderhill Raceway visit

Let's do it guys! It would be great to get a big gang together so we can all lie about how fast we were going!

    So Long, Charlie Manson

But none of us are gonna win in the long run, are we?

    Thunderhill Raceway visit

Thanks for coming out Doug - it was great to see you and the guys, but sorry you didn't take a few laps on the Hippo though :)

    Thunderhill Raceway visit

I had Dave tune my suspension last year. He's quite a guy - talks a lot about serenity and peace of mind when riding. His tip about speed and risk - if you can sing a song to yourself when riding on the track then you're OK. If you forget the words you're scaring yourself And he was there...

    Death Valley via dualsports

Awesome stuff! Dougie - I can't see your photos at all, just the stupid little icon that means "picture here but I won't show it to you"

    FJR drought in japan

In Japan there is a very strenuous test to get a license for anything above 750cc (I think) so there are very few big bore motorcycles in the country. I haven't looked recently, but I remember a story on it that said something like 3% of the participants actually pass the test.

    Looking for 2015 ES model

Try claz.org - compiles ads from many sources - I just tried it for what you're looking for and found 2 for under $9k, 1 in Tennessee and 1 in Indiana

    SOLD - 2016 FJR1300 ES + Accessories $12,500 (TX)

So what's next? Maybe a KTM 1290 Super adventure, or a Beemer perhaps? I rode something like 15 miles of cobblestone at night and in the rain on knobby tires on a DRZ400 with only a tiny little headlight on the way up to Real de Catorce. I would have preferred more lighting and a bigger...

    BMR 2018 is cranking up!

I BMR'd it in 2015 and had a good time with it. Saw many places that i never would have otherwise. In fact it became such a thing that it ended up consuming pretty much all of my available weekends, all of it coming at the expense of time with my wife and track days (I'll let you all figure...

    FJ-09 replaced by Tracer 900 ?

Sounds like maybe there is no touring triple for 2018 in the plan. I have a feeling they aren't too popular around here anyways - from what i've seen there's pretty good demand for the FZ09 but don't think I've seen more than a few of the FJ's.

Older motorcyclists most likely to die in crashes

I bet there are several causes of death that are less likely to kill you as you get older - drive by shootings, bar fights, combat, heart attacks suring sex, etc..... You know - those things that us older guys don't do very much any more.

If you don't make it - can I have your bike?

That is indeed quite an introduction. Leaving a lot to the imagination, and everyone on the edge of their seat.... Where's the stupid eating popcorn emoji when I need it?
