    Suspension set-up

I've just had the opportunity to have my suspension set-up. It's something many of us are guilty of neglecting. One front leg had no re-bound. The other had too much. The rear suspension had no rebound to speak of and now had just enough to absorb the UK's roads. It feels very different so...

Key won't come out of gas tank lock.

I have similar on both Gen 1 and Gen2. The filler cap likes to be pushed down and key releases.

TIRES?? What tires are everyone running on their FJR?

"Quiet" that 'sounds' good to me up front. My Bridgestone is sooo noisy on certain road surfaces that it becomes extremely unpleasant even with earplugs in !

Greetings and Intro from New FJR1300 Owner

Hi Pete, I did find that to put a little more pressure in the front tyre🇬🇧 41psi gave me better slow corner feel than 36psi. It is also said to benefit tyre wear. Good luck John👍

    Sidewall leak

i've had similar problem on a new tyre🇬🇧. I put 60psi into it, ran it and pumped the brake hard many times, then reduced it back to running pressure and it sealed itself.

    GEN2 stumble during takeoff

TPS Throttle Possition Sensor Apologies for coming in late to this... and not yet read others advices. My TPS was replaced when I had my Gen1 and I suspect all is not right with my Gen2 in the throttle area. Hunting occurs e.g. when trying to keep a steady pace in 2nd gear at 20mph. It has...

Slow, weak cranking? New battery, so??

I'd check the wiring as well just to be sure. Are all connections good and clean after the battery etc?

    Ongoing Fork Issues 04'

Did you check legs are parallel ? Mine weren't and bike pulled to left and seals blew on one side. It's not rocket science or brain surgery. A set of allan keys, two small pieces of straight wood taped across top and bottom of legs. If when looking down they are not parallel, then undo allen...

    Ongoing Fork Issues 04'

Are the forks bent OR/ AND are the forks twisted in the yokes ? I'd undo all the yokes and make sure that both legs are parallel before retightening. Check manual for hows to etc. Best of luck John🇬🇧

A stable mate for the FJR

Good to hear from you..., I'm in my 6th OLD AGE CRISIS, so 'making hay while the sun shines'. Biking helps me get up in the morning and since worst of Covid now excites me almost each and every trip. The FJR has the oomph that most tourers lack and I like the 'hang on' aspect of its personality...

Hi .... v interested, where are you?

Considering a 2016 FJR, but concerned about tranny recall.

I've both a Gen1 and Gen2 at present, trying to decide which is the keeper. Away last week on the Gen1 in Wales with considerable load in the boxes, I reckon the front felt a little too light and I wasn't sure whether my normal running pressure of 41 on the front was too much to get grip.(?)...
