As HotRodZilla stated, that is how I have always put those bikes that I have owned with center stands, and yes back in the "day" when almost all bikes had center stands. And I've done a few bare foot also, hey I was a kid back then and didn't know any better ....

Ha, funny you say that. I just found out today that I have torn tendons and ligaments in my left shoulder as a result of the woman hitting me on my Harley. Attempting to keep the bike up, and the car forcing the front wheel all the way to the lock to the right. I haven't slept well since then...

Good think you went to the Harley Dealer first, otherwise you would be told in so many words that you are an idiot and have no clue, "you come to US first and WE will let you insurance company know what's wrong" as they told my wife ... because we called GEICO first and then the H-D dealer ...

A friend at work used it on his car, and from what I could see they looked like new. I even asked him if he replaced them. He said NO, I used the 3M kit that you put on an electric drill. I would say it works.

That's how I've always done it with any bike with a center stand. It is more of a drive down with your foot and rolling the bike back than lifting it.
