    Ran out of gas

That's essentially what the dealer told me also. Also explaned that you will only experience the issue if you change altitude, without ever turning off the engine. If you don't experience the issue then don't worry about getting the ECM replaced. And of course if you do experience the issue...

    Ran out of gas

Somebody reply who has had to have their fuel pump replaced.

    Ran out of gas

I've seen this come up a few times. Sounds like non sence to me. If the the engine is out of gas, it's not running. If it's not running, the fuel pump is not running. If it's not running, it's not over heating. No gas No heat. Don't lock this thread down to the pointless neverending land.

    Ran out of gas

I read the book, it doesn't mention how far you can get, just that you have 1.6 gallons left. Actually the book can make you think you have about an 8 gallon tank. Not 6.6. I've never trusted a fuel gage, that's why I always reset the trip meter at fill up. IF you ride the same style most the...

    Ran out of gas

I've never had a bike with no reserve and this is just weird relying on the "F" trip. So, I decided to see just what it would do... 255.4 miles on trip meter 55.2 on F trip At exactly 1 mile from the gas station, the turn the reserve on signal came on. Ya know, engine off noise... But it...

    audiovox cruise

I'm still trying to understand what the point of the other cable(AKA B cable) is actually for. The return springs are on the throttle and all the tension is on the A cable. My 80 Honda has dual cables and it the B cable rotted out, but the springs on the carb made it return every time. I guess...

getting to turn signal flasher in '08

Kisan, SM3 is the model you need. As long as you hook up the brake wire interface you get the function of it not turning off with your brakes aplide. You set it for 10, 20, or 30 seconds or flashes. I don't really remember. I have mine set for 20. I got mine on eBay.

    2009 FJR1300 info released!

I don't know what you all are looking at but there so much a difference I could just see it plain as day. I mean really how could you miss it? The bike is t - o - t - a - l - l - y different. How could you miss the sticker on the fairing, sheesh? I like the black wheels.

    Lowered

I just went on a nice 220 miler with probalby 60 miles of twisties. As far as I can tell it was spot on. I don't go saddle bag scraping so I don't know how much better it could get. I have stock tires at 39/42, and it was very nice.

I looked into modifying it, but our FJR kick stand is very unique. Most bikes have a straight side stand, and ours has a very unique curve to it. So I left it alone. The other option is to grind down the stand stop a tiny bit. So far I have not had any issue with it not being stable on it's...

getting to turn signal flasher in '08

Yep they do turn off the flashers. Not really that big of deal, since I've only used them once, and just to see them work. Kind of a waiste of a feature to me. There is of a work around though, connect the rear turn lights to the running light feature, and then, use the signal minders control...

    Lowered

More info for a lowered link... Well, just got back from the track. I still power a wheelie up to shift to 2nd. So, with a "slightly" lowered rear, and I slide the front up about 1/2" also, it still powers up the front, to ride a whellie. Yep even with a giant 220lb monkey trying to figure out...

I already have a Signal Dynamics back off, and just got the Kisan signal minder. I hope the universe doesn't explode when I hook these together...

    Auto-Retract/Heasted Grip Electrical Connectors

Finally oem styled connectors. That Sumitomo site is what I've been looking for. Ahem, FJR Admin, how about adding this to the Bin-O-Facts page.

    Lowered

I have had the tire hit the finder on my other bike, but that was going on an extremely rough road, maybe 20 mph too fast. But that was right after lowering, and getting used to the feeling of a lowered bike. There is a fairly different riding position that I notice from being lowered also. If...

    Lowered

Just went on ride typical of where I ride. There was no where, exept my drive way where I had to angle it in to avoid bottoming out. I have wild bill pegs also, and all is good. My other bike was lowered also, and I'm already used to avoiding bottoming out. I also avoid speed bumps already. My...
