    Thank you for responding. You’re not far from beautiful rides in the Sierra Nevada. Sequoia Nat Park and Yosemite Nat Park are pretty close! Stunning scenery and riding.

    I am learning terminology and a whole lot more as I dive into the maintenance on this, which up to this point has been pretty basic on a cruiser and the GL1800. I have an OEM manual on the way, as well as an owner's manual. Thank you Ross for your feedback.

    Greetings from Northern California. I am excited to begin riding a new to me, Cobalt Blue 2012 FJR. Being 250# lighter than my GL 1800, I look forward to the sportiness of a comfortable, sleek, long distance bike. I have only had the fun of riding it the 80 miles to get it home immediately...
