I'm really surprised your fork oil seals are failing! Have you tried to clean the seal to tube interface with a "Seal Mate" tool? Are your fork tubes scratched ? I don't think it's normal for the seals to "fail" like that. Just my experience..............

FYI for the folks following this topic, I now have received all the parts ordered EXCEPT for the following: 1) Item # 10, Plate, Seat (spring seat), (3), 1D7-16384-00-00 2)Clutch cover gasket. Expect both these items next week.

I think it will also apply to the Gen 1 (2005). My quick comparison of the parts involved seem to be the same. At least I hope so cause I ordered the 2016 retrofit parts yesterday!! LOL

yup, totally agree. But if they were mine I would either install new ones or flatten the old ones prior to reinstalling.
