    Saw Washington State yesterday

Sounds like a great ride. Next time try HWY 20. It has less traffic and a more beautiful ride.

    Carson ride gone bad.....

Sorry to hear that. I hope he is okay. Surprise injuries can pop up after the adrenaline wears off.

OK Computer Guys - Iron Key, Is It Worth The Money?

PGP Desktop work pretty well. You can create secure volumes that can be stored on almost any media.

    Fixing a Flat

I used sticky string and rubber cement on a rock puncture I got 18 miles from nowhere on HWY50 in Nevada. I used my slime pump to get fill it up and I was on my way in about 30 minutes. I ran that tire to the cords 275 miles later (tire was almost done before the rock).

GPS, Worth the $$$ or not?

I use both 'Streets and Trips' and MapSource. I use 'GPS Babel' to port the way points between the two. It's a bit of a pain, but it does work.

    Windows 7 Release Candidate

I've been running it native on my MacBook. That's been the most solid platform combination I have found in years.

Front tire worn out and rear still got some life. WOW

If you enjoy corners, change them both to the same brand and model. It can be unnerving to get different feedback from the front and rear tires when you hanging in a good corner.

Long term comparisons on Aerostich/Olympia suits

I use a Phantom suit for commuting. I have used it on the dual sport many times in nice and nasty weather. It never leaked. It was comfortable to wear on 90+ days. I can be in or out in under two minutes with the liner and heated gear. Fit and comfort are very good. I have no complaints...

The current powers won't let anything be publicly sold that they can't already break. Just sayin'

If that's true, what is my Hayabusa? :P

    Well, THAT was stupid!

DO NOT use a small battery tender to charge a dead battery. Use a 2 Amp charger to charge the battery back up. Then use the battery tender to maintain the charge. You can damage the battery tender is you try to charge with it.

Practicing my new Lee Parks throttle-brake technique

WTF is that supposed to mean? I was backing your post.

    I finally did it...

Congrats! That's a great deal. Welcome to the collective. B)

Practicing my new Lee Parks throttle-brake technique

Please don't mix "trail braking" with "applying the trailing brake". Trail braking has nothing to do with the rear brake. It has everything to do with proper braking in a corner. Yes, the brake/throttle relationship in a corner is very important. I learned how to do it during a 2-Fast...

    1300AE Reliability?

I just topped 57 today. :yahoo: I joined in Feb 07 right before I bought the 07 A. I put 11,300 miles on that in 8 months. My current 08 AE has only been ridden three times locally since I brought it home. My Busa has been getting the "remember how to ride" miles on it. The FJR just...
