Rode the FJR on Friday and on Saturday...needed to get as much seat time as I could so I can finally decide whether or not to pull the trigger on one this summer...or wait 'til next summer...or just keep my current ride. No decision yet, but I found a lot to be impressed about, that's for sure.

If I were to ever do an aftermarket paint job, dark blue would certainly take a back seat to the burnt orange lust that started off this whole thread.

^ ^ ^ I love the dark blue look. I'm tempted a bit by the '12 model, as I do like blue bikes a great deal (in fact, my current ride is blue), but if I opt for a FJR I'm opting for the Gen III so unfortunately it's not in the mix. Would love to see a deep, dark blue offered.

Out of curiosity, what did they miss? From my admittedly layman's / newbie's perspective on the bike, it looked like a decent upgrade from Gen II without ruining the spirit and look of the bike...

Way ahead of you...I plan to demo the FJR this weekend. I suspect it's going to be as awesome as I suspect...even if it's not orange.

Some of those colors make me want to salve my eyes and go get the 2015 graphite before Yamaha sees this thread and thinks they're a good idea!
