    Yamaha fall specials?

What kind of specials does Yamaha usually unroll in the fall? The summer specials were limited to somewhat low APRs and minimal rebates on last year's models. Do they usually do better in the fall?

Dreaming with my eyes wide open

A most excellent ride report. Congrats on another fine ride, and on the big 3-0! Personally, 30 was around the time I felt like things were really starting to come together for me. :)

    Bridgestone T31 GT or T31 non-GT

Interesting. I got similarly poor mileage from my PR4 gt. I will report back on this Bridgestone.

Pathfinder's 100,000 (Cert.) Miles in 1 Year Attempt

Congrats on the progress!!! Ive wanted to do my first SS1k for a while now. I've somewhat got a route lined up and am deciding right now (as the sun comes up) whether to go today or next week. I had nearly contemplated doing a BBg for my first Iron Butt, but then realized the cert can only be...

    Oil

On the last oil change I revisited Rotemla T6. Found some in the stash I forgot I had. I'm actually liking the way it shifts (at least right now) vs the Quicksilver 20w50 I've used the last few changes. I may change my mind again when it gets hot; who knows? :)

    Bridgestone T31 GT or T31 non-GT

I did 100 miles or so breaking in the T31 GT on Angeles Crest Highway and Angeles Forest Highway this morning (twisty roads). I'm very happy with my purchase and will probably score another set from Chaparral via the price-match to the RMATV price. These are pretty darn good tires at $190 a set...

    Tire recommendations

I started an inquiry thread asking about the T31 GT vs normal T31 a week or so ago. I did 100 miles or so breaking in the T31 GT on Angeles Crest Highway and Angeles Forest Highway this morning (twisty roads). I'm very happy with my purchase and will probably score another set from Chaparral...

Am I the ONLY one riding these days?

Oh, and the temp read 19 when I left the house for the airport at 5:00 am. Crazy. Back in Glendale tonight the wind is blowing. It's probably in the 50s. Must be the remnants of that storm...

Am I the ONLY one riding these days?

I visited my folks at their place in Denver this week. On Tuesday it was nearly 80. On Wednesday my flight was cancelled due to the incoming storm. This morning my flight took off on time, but I had to dust about 8 inches of snow off the car and scrape the windows before driving to the airport...

Am I the ONLY one riding these days?

I've done 3k in the last month around the usual So Cal suspects. I just haven't taken very many pictures or bothered to post. Too busy riding. :)

    2013 FJR for sale

Maybe he's come down since you posted. I dont remember the asking price originally, but it's at $7k now. Surely you aren't proposing $5500 is a more appropriate price...??? Unless, of course, you are hoping to buy and employing negotiation tactics. :)

Heated Grips - engine have to be on?

Really? I was pretty sure I had killed my battery with the key on and engine off due to heated grips being on. Could be it was just the lights, I guess.

    Bridgestone T31 GT or T31 non-GT

Bought a set of each today. The GTs will go on the FJR right away. I'm looking at another smaller bike also (either a MT-09, Z900, or some other similar variant that also likely will take a 180/55/17 and 12/70/17), so I figure the non-GT could go on those. $190 for a quality set of tires is...

    Low mileage trade-in? A record perhaps !

Looks nice. I have heard of very bad things re rubber, tank lining, electrical, etc on bikes of that vintage with those kinds of miles. I'd probably be more comfortable with a 50k 2005 that appeared to be well-maintained, but maybe that's just me. :) Price is right, tho, if all else checks out!
