LOW mile '14 ES - Not mine, but cheap. $7k

Interesting. Is the requested method of payment via paypal to "[email protected]"? Is delivery to occur later via a "very reputable" shipper? My apologies in advance if I've aided a scammer... Good grief. Seemed at least "plausibly" legit. Oh well. Edit: Just figured out who this "Jussie'...

LOW mile '14 ES - Not mine, but cheap. $7k

Right. I see low mile '15 A models come up pretty regularly for $7500 or so. With a lot of the same model for sale, competition can be stiff. One that is priced very appealing will probably sell while others sit... Anyhow, maybe I'll get anxious for a ride in the next couple weeks and cruise...

LOW mile '14 ES - Not mine, but cheap. $7k

... I dunno. It's kinda "in the zone." Could be he just wants a quick sale. I mean, what is the best likely sales price? What would be a reasonable "ask"? I'm thinking anything higher than $8500 would be too much to ask, considering a 2014 is now 5 model years old and this one is not that...

LOW mile '14 ES - Not mine, but cheap. $7k

Looks like a good price for an ES. Just happened upon it on Craigs. https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/mcy/d/temecula-2014-yamaha-fjr1300-electric/6822238576.html Noticed it has a Power Comander. No idea why. I don't know that I've seen one on a gen3. Also, looks like Delkovic pipes maybe...

For Sale on AdvRider - FJR Two Brothers Carbon Fiber Cans $300

Ya, I saw there were a few PMs. They were at a pretty good price, even with the bit of corrosion on the ends. I didnt follow up on them. Not really accessorizing at the moment for various reasons. I did wonder why they'd have corrosion after only 1000 miles. But I guess that is a few year's...

    FJ-09 Saddlebags

Tracer900.net was formerly known as FJ-09.org. It is a forum for the FJ-09/Tracer with a decent following. The FJ-09 seems to be another slow-seller on the resale market. I haven't seen cases come up for sale on the forum very often, but you might be able to persuade a seller of an outfitted...

Man, I'm tempted... Every time they come and go I kick myself. Lol

    2014 FJR Transmission/Engine replacement

I got word today from the dealer that my engine is out. It actually does look kind of intimidating. Lol

    2014 FJR Transmission/Engine replacement

I don't know. I'm just happy it's getting fixed. As for splitting, I suspect after an hour or so in basically stopped LA freeway traffic you'd be inclined to give it a go. If done cautiously, it is really not that unnerving. Plenty of people RIP around between cars like they are fixed objects...

    SOLD - 2013 FJR1300 in Montana

Very nice bike and a good price. Am I having deja vu? Was this bike for sale once before?

    2014 FJR Transmission/Engine replacement

Ah, thanks. Welp, there goes my theory. Lol :) I'm by no means confident I would be the cog that would make this venture a successful one; but I've got a pair of hands, I know how to turn a wrench, and I can handle changing oil, syncing a throttle body, and swapping brake pads. I'm game to...

    2014 FJR Transmission/Engine replacement

My second gear dogs probably have as much wear at 20k as yours do at 70k, do to low speed lane splitting in LA and a lot of shifts between first and second and first. Still, it shouldn't have happened. The first to second shift has also been a touch harsh on this bike. I've wondered if they...

    2014 FJR Transmission/Engine replacement

That sucks. I developed the second gear dog slip at 20k. It is at the Yamaha dealer now and it is getting stripped down and will be repaired under YES (hoping I don't get push back from Yamaha, but I'm prepared to push hard and seek action to compel or recover damages if Yamaha doesn't come...

the fjr does more than i thought

Proper balancing also helps. I had a set installed once when the shop "didn't think it was necessary." It was definitely necessary, and they weren't crap tires either.

What's the Weather like where YOU are today?

Rain, rain, rain in the Los Angeles area. I think I've seen more rain in the last two weeks than the last two years combined. ...well, maybe. Seems we had an unusually wet winter 2 or 3 years ago too. Anyhow, my 8 year old commented the other day that she has never seen California so green...

    North SF Bay dealer recommendation?

I didn't recognize the name "The Motorcycle Shop" at first. I have no firsthand experience with them, but I do recall having them recommended to me by my boss at the time; he was an avid enthusiast that owned several bikes and was acquainted with the owner. I would have confidence in the shop...

    North SF Bay dealer recommendation?

I bought my FJ09 in May of 2015. It was an older (I think) red building on the east side of the road. I think it was the previous location they had taken over. Glad to hear they have been successful. I don't know who Mike is, but I imagine it is the same parts guy I'm referring to. He was...

    North SF Bay dealer recommendation?

The personal invite and recommendation to tap into BARF are both good suggestions. I lived in Santa Rosa and visited the Santa Rosa dealer several times. I think they were at the time called Santa Rosa Powesports. A couple of the guys were nice enough, but I never was given a reason to spend my...

    First sport bike

I'm really liking the FZ-10 or MT-10. Those, along with the Aprilia Tuono 1100 are at the top of my "want" list right now. The Tuono is simply mind-blowing. But those bikes might be a bit much on the small track. While they are crazy fast with insane getup and go, they have more power than can...

    Motorcycles and Millenials

"" Officials at Polaris weren't immediately available to comment. Harley-Davidson told CNBC the company has been aware of the demographic trend and it has been informing the company's strategy. "There's nothing new here," Harley-Davidson told CNBC in a statement. "Our advanced analytic...
