Are the Metzelers you last put on the Z8s? I can't find anything on a Roadtec 08. If I have it straight, the Z8 was out several years back (maybe 2012?) and the Roadtec 01 just came out last year.

I just remove the fairing bolt and slip a cereal box (or the like) opened up for recycling over the fairing. Once the filter has been changed, it's just a matter of slipping the box back off and throwing it in the garbage.

My '09 was doing similar things this past spring. Since I was due to change the coolant, I put a new thermostat in and all was good after. Probably a 45 minute job.

Just hit 80,000 km (50,000 miles) this afternoon on my '09

One thing I noticed myself is that I didn't tilt my head as much in a left turn. As a result. i felt that I was leaned over more than I really was. Once I focused on tilting my head to keep the horizon level, left turns came easier.

Rode it 5 minutes to the bank and took an hour to get back home!
