Yeah.. there's no "just in time" - none of the pics in your report are visible. PB blocked any pics that were embedded (as you had done) regardless of when they were uploaded. I had stuff from ten years ago that was now blocked.

fragile original keys - need new ones for 2015 gen3

My bike came with some kind of compact key organizer - like a car key-fob, but for several different keys. I don't use keys unless absolutely necessary (like on the bikes) - my house and primary vehicles are keyless. I've even come up with a way to adapt my bikes, but that's another story...

What did you do to your FJR today?

It was as hot when I was in Chicago as it was in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago! Wish I'd packed shorts! Anyhooo.... took Elvira for a spin, lunch meeting. Full mesh gear, felt really good on the way there but coming home was a bit toasty..

fragile original keys - need new ones for 2015 gen3

The ignition and bag locks are no different than on other bikes I have or had, they can be very hard to turn if there is pressure on the mechanism. On the ignition, it's the steering lock, and relieving pressure by turning the bars a little makes the ignition turn effortlessly. On the luggage...

What did you do to your FJR today?

I stand corrected. I have no first-hand knowledge, just what I've always been told/read. It is interesting, however, that the Gen II FZ1 has a rare issue with valve stems that were not hardened correctly, requiring replacement as they "shortened" over time to where they could no longer be shimmed.

What did you do to your FJR today?

I'm pretty certain that's a really bad idea, as the shims are surface hardened..

Split: Weight limit for ES Model?

Although the seat is closer to the rear wheel than the front, it's only about 2/3 of the distance between the wheel centers, so a 10mm rise at the rear would only be 6-7 at the lowest part of the seat.

    New SENA helmet coming soon

.. not dissimilar to active headsets used for shooting, which are quite effective as they are not actually cancelling the noise of the shot, but rather passing sound up to a certain level to be repeated thru the speakers. They reduce sound with or without batteries, about as well as a pair of...

What Generation are 2016 and 2017 FJRs? (Run-Off)

Gen IV sounds a lot better than Gen III.V.. I think the mechanical changes are enough to justify a new Gen.

Points are there, after the lat/long., although I added them after Warren quoted my initial post without them. Absolutely.. but the riders are given the data in several forms - I'm sure not everyone could quickly produce a consolidated table like that. I used Excel and a Unix-based editor...

.. and ugly. Still, would be interested in trying one. I suspect the appearance is driving by function, very clean..
