Corbin Received and Fitted on Gen III--Lower and *Nice*

Have no idea and may never know. Longest day I can see is maybe 400-500 miles and that's if I can convince the wife to go somewhere. Otherwise 200 miles to Austin, maybe a little further to Mom in New Braunfels. Didn't buy her for long touring but more commuting, local shooting matches, and...

Corbin Received and Fitted on Gen III--Lower and *Nice*

Cool. If you are vertically challenged like me and want maximum leg reach it is important you call them and get "nose job" and "seat narrowing" added to special build instructions. This supposedly made it special, but didn't cost extra except a couple weeks build time. Many have complained...

Corbin Received and Fitted on Gen III--Lower and *Nice*

It does. Not sure what the difference is between the two when laden with rider weight, but yes, it seems to give me a little more reach in my boots, partly the height and partly what seems like narrower between the thighs.

Corbin Received and Fitted on Gen III--Lower and *Nice*

Haven't ridden it yet, but from sitting on it I HOPE it gets a little softer as I ride it....

How to Remove the Plastic Under-Seat Spacer Thing From the Bike (Gen III)?

Thanks. Actually had to loosen the two 10mm bolts as my base was off center, but it was easy.

Corbin Received and Fitted on Gen III--Lower and *Nice*

Wanted to lower my ride height for my 30" inseam. Also ordered the seat with a "nose job" to ensure narrow at the front after the rep said that some say they are wider than stock. I didn't know which fabric/welt/piping/color to order so I said "like the pic on your site". I'm happy with the...

How to Remove the Plastic Under-Seat Spacer Thing From the Bike (Gen III)?

My Corbin is out for delivery. I understand the plastic adjuster has to come off the bike for the Corbin, which contributes to lower seat height. Spacer seems to be held in by plastic posts floating in a plastic groove but don't see how to easily take it out. How do you get the spacer off the...

Has anyone mounted Cardo G-series on a Shoei Neotec

Just installed my G9 on my Neotec, using the pics on the Kawi site from post #2. Piece of cake. Nice functioning piece of electronics too. Will test it later, but all functions seem to work well with my iPhone 5 at the workbench.....8-)

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

While I do not have a 2013 model (just a lowly 06' :-{ which I still love) I would have to say that I do not see any "large" temp swings in your data, nor anything in your text that I would be alarmed about. 1st off, you are riding on a fairly cool day, so you can expect the thermostat to be...

Seriously? Cool (no pun intended). Will have to consider it.

Ha ha. Should do. Ooooh. I like. But I'd also have to wear the denim shirts Jay is always in when not on camera.....

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

Thanks. Under about 40mph for sure, the readout is constant--changing much less often such as at stop lights (increasing) or accelerating away from stops (decreasing). It will stay at 168 for a long time at 40mph. Why at lower speeds and not highway speeds?

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

Not as stressed as my persistent posts would imply, but guess I'm NOT sure I can trust the readings on the display to tell me if something is wrong. What am I supposed to do on a 230 mile jaunt between gas stops--watch the readout constantly in *case* I see 230, 240, "Hi" or other indication of...

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

Thanks. I'm assuming you mean up and down randomness as I described, with numbers like I posted. If so, and if Fairlaner's and the others' too, it ain't just mine......

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

Lord, hope everyone knows the tire pressure comment was a joke.....8-) Back to our regularly scheduled Coolant Temp question por favor.....8-) Thanks. Would *love* to know your first-bought-ever-in-America unit does it too....8-)

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

I'm hoping it's a "feature" for bar conversations. Maybe Just us type A(+) folks won't be able to sleep. Even as the best deal in sport-tourers, this bee-otch was $14 large, and she should be PERFECT. PERFECT I TELL YOU. Oh, the humanity!..... I guess I won't start my other thread--I have...

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

Thanks. Not doubting your observations, but--to be sure I'm clear, you are seeing large jumps up and down every few seconds?. Not doubting what I have is "normal" and a "feature", but it does appear unique to this bike--my FZ1 doesn't do it. Man I feel like an idiot if this is the first I'm...

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

Thanks. Yours vary by this much at random (in case you needed an excuse to take a quick ride)? Same question as RadioHowie--you seeing random numbers like the changes I posted? Also, does it calm down at slow speeds/stopped? Thanks. Neither of my 2009 FZ6s did nor does my FZ1 do this...

    2013--Erratic/Random Coolant Temp Readout--Problem?

Negative. Fan didn't come on during ride. Only in my garage, where it cycled normally at 221f.
