It does NOT come with the plate, even though it is listed in the parts listing for the SR357 kit?

I've made a deal and hope to trade my FZ6 for the new FJR next week. I'm trading with the V35 side cases, but keeping my E55 top case. Couple of questions: Do I need to keep the Givi plate that comes with the E55? (Which would leave the bars on the FZ6 looking like they're missing something)...

Really? In the first half page of this forum I see posts about Suzukis, BMWs, and Kawasakis? What did I miss? I'm pretty sure this is not a Yamaha only forum. I currently own an FZ1 and FZ6 as my only bikes Is this forum friendly to all except Hondas? Geez.

I've had an ST1300 which I liked. They're still around but are technologically behind. I haven't had the opportunity to ride an FJR yet, but I'm very interested in the 2013, which I saw at the Dallas motorcycle show yesterday. Who can tell me what Honda will unveil in a few hours!?

Excellent. Thank you. I don't require it either and never seemed to miss it on my ST1300, but on my 6 speed FZ1 and FZ6 without it I occasionally downshift into a turn thinking it's 2nd, but it's placing me in 1st--oops!--miscounted!

I could have missed it in the digital reams that are this thread, but I didn't see it in any of the Yammie pics either, and a search didn't reveal. As a likely buyer soon, is there a gear position indicator? Thanks.
