    A Windshield Odyssey

Just tried to install the Calsci tinted shorty. Unfortunately the top two screw holes do not line up with my W bracket. They are half a hole off. No matter how much I fiddled with loosening the other bolts they would not line up. I double checked and yes, I did order the proper model for my '05...

Unlocked the sport without saddlebags, really? Top case better?

No bags does make a difference in handling. haven't had them on my bike in 3 or 4 years. But I don't do any LD either. Plus the bike is way sexier without 'em.

    Prepping the FJR to sell

Similar story. Haven't rode much last couple years. Thought lots about selling the bike. In the end didn't have the heart to sell it. So instead I bought an RF1100 two weeks ago. Last night I put a set of PR3's on it. Now I'm going to ride it. I think this is my first post on this board in 3...

Oregon motorcyclist caught doing 130 mph

If you haven't done at least 130 on your FJR then you haven't ridden it.

Does the FJR1300 make a good daily commuter?

The thing about commuting in Seattle is it gets a little dicey between October and February. The reason is it's usually pretty dark during commute hours. With the darkness and the rain your visibility to cagers goes way down and ability to maneuver is also decreased. Of course that applies to...

    Mileage Left

In his picture the tread at top left looks like it's worn down to the bar or past. That would indicate time to get a new tire, especially if your going on a long trip. If the wear bars are gone it seems to me all your tread would be gone too, so yes that would be a bigger worry.

    Mileage Left

I wouldn't take that tire on a 2500 mile trip with wear bars showing. Why risk it?

    ST1300 / FJR1300 Comparison

Yeah, but you could have saved a lot of typing by just stating the obvious: ST sux compared to FJR. B)

    heat fix kits

I've had this kit on my bike for a couple of seasons and I'm happy with it.

    Holeshot Header Question

I have an '05. I have only one heat-related problem with it and that's my feet. They get a little too toasty even on cool days. Can those of you with Holeshot headers say how much of that could be eliminated by getting the header and getting rid of the cats? Seems to me that might be the major...

    Time for a new jacket

I have an Olympia Airglide 2 and really like it. It's warm and waterproof with the liner and really moves air through it without the liner. Linky In case you're wondering that is me in the pictures. ;)

    Stupid F***ING WOMAN!

I truly believe that maybe 10-20 percent of drivers take driving seriously. The rest consider it secondary to whatever activity they're doing at the time (cell phone blabbing, smacking kids, eating, jacking off... whatever)

    Being cool and seen

That's the way to do it! B) If you like it, no worries. Also, I always hold open the possibility that my opinions are all F'd up! Dmitri Martin said this: "A sweater will protect you from the cold, and some vests can protect you from bullets. But a sweater vest protects you from attractive...

    Caseless in Seattle

Cases off all the time! Feels better, looks better. I have a tail bag. For really long trips where I needs lots of crap then the bags go on.

MY FJR IS KILLING ME !!!!

You may not need to spend the coin on a seat. I didn't like mine either for the first couple thousand miles but it broke in. Now I love it... but mine's an '05.

my front end clunks on bumps, help

I was all set to do the complete bearing tightening procedure but didn't have the spanner so I just tried the stem nut and whaddya know... it worked. Of course it's highly advised to loosen the fork clamps before re-torquing the stem and then re-tightening them afterward.

    Don't judge a biker

Ha! What makes you think I'm older than you? Is that you or your dad in your avatar? ;)

    Don't judge a biker

Well I guess you boys have your panties all in a twist trying to support HD bikers in this thread and others. Whatever floats your boat... the internet is free to everyone. I've been riding for over 20 years so I think I have a good feel for the HD crowd. I stand by my opinions but am I dumb...
