Beowulf Exhaust Install and sound love the new cans

I see they list "oval" or " round". Any particular reason you got the oval style? Also, the price went up. Damn!

    Front brake sensor screw torque?

I mounted up a new front tire on my '08 for the first time. All went well until I read the torque spec in the service manual for the small screw that holds the wheel sensor in. The book says 22 ft. lbs.!! No way! It shows the same for the rear sensor. Misprint???????

    905 Crash bar sliders

Here's some pics of the slider install. The slider in the pics is the one I chewed up some trying to remove it. Even after grinding the paint out of the bar the fit was still tight so I sanded down the slider for a snug, removable fit. I didn't bother grinding the paint out on the other side...

    905 Crash bar sliders

Not sure what their plan is. I think the squeeky wheel gets the grease and I squeeked long & loud! I'll try to get pics up this weekend.

    905 Crash bar sliders

After several monthes and many emails to Stephanie at 905, I finally got the sliders for the front crash bars that they promised in the group buy. She said you might need to grind out the paint inside the bar to get them to fit. I used a Dremmel sanding wheel and took off all the paint and it's...

    Sticky clutch

Just got off the phone with my dealer. He talked to Yamaha about my hard shifting, sticky, grabby, not fully releasing clutch. They will pull the plates and soak overnight under warranty, but only one time. He said lots of clutches stick while sitting all winter then usually free up with use...

    Dragging the 905 Bars

I recently found the lean angle limit with the 905 front crash bars on. The angle cut pipe on the lower mount touches pavement before the peg feelers. Not sure how much sooner it hits but it can't be much because my foot touched first and a split second later I heard the crash bar grinding. I...

    VIsta cruise universal

I don't know about the AE, but it works on the A. The bars are 7/8" at the grips, but they are 1" where the clamp fits next to the brake res. You do need to sand, file, or grind the clamp thinner to fit because the space is to narrow. Works great for me.

    Universal Vista Cruise

Mine works perfect. Will hold any throttle setting but still allow you to twist the throttle without releasing the lock. I've also had one on my Valkyrie for years. I'm guessing you've got the wrong rubber sleeve inside that grips the throttle grip. They come with 2 different thickness.

    Universal Vista Cruise

They are 1" where the clamp style like mine goes on.

    Universal Vista Cruise

Nope. It's meant to mount on top. Easy reach for your thumb and the flip lever is serrated on top for grip.

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

Any idea when the 905 sliders are gonna be done? I'm hoping to incorporate highway pegs with the sliders. Also, here's a pic of my passenger "pegs". I didn't want to send them back for the weld on peg brackets so I got some 1" clear plastic tubing from the hardware store. It was a bitch getting...

    Universal Vista Cruise

I needed practice posting pictures so thought I'd show my new "cruise control". It's a Vista Cruise Universal. Works great, easy install, fits over most any grip, flips on/off with thumb, tension adjustable. The only mod you need to do is to narrow the Vista handlebar clamp to fit between the...

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

I'm waiting for the 905 sliders which Stephanie says will be coming as soon as they redesign them to fit the crash bar. I'm hoping they will mount by drilling a hole through the bar which you could also use to bolt on hwy pegs.

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

Just came in from the shop trying to get used to the look of the rear bars. They still look big and ugly but so do broken and scratched bags! Function over form I guess. I did come up with an idea for the rear pegs though. The rubber on the stock pegs is screwed on from the bottom with 2 small...

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

She did say that might be an option, but the way I understood her the mounts weren't made yet. Maybe I misunderstood.

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

Just got off the phone with Stephanie. She's so sweet it makes my teeth hurt! A+ customer service! They still plan to send out sliders as soon as they get them redesigned to fit the bars. Rear bars: If you don't like them for whatever reason, return for refund, no problem. The original design...

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

Got my bars a couple days ago. Installed the fronts and they look great. The pictures in the directions should be closer to show more detail, especially the proper positioning of the clearance notch on the lower cross bar. The notched area clears good but there is one other spot that is real...

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

I just placed my order for a full set and sent you a note on your site. I like the idea of some sliders thrown in! Or maybe some Highway peg mounts?
