Bike won't start due to carbon build-up

Therein lays the dilemma. I am not a “hard” rider by any means. I do cruise and that is why I bought a sport cruiser and not a sport bike (at least I thought so). I live in northern Kentucky where the winters are bit chilly for my blood to ride however; I still get it out on those clear days...

Bike won't start due to carbon build-up

I felt the same way. I did go down there and look and although I am no expert, it did look like quite a bit of carbon build up. I have some photos but I am not sure how to upload them to post by hiting a URL. The mechanic did shine a light though the exhaust port and I did see light through...

Bike won't start due to carbon build-up

I have a '07 FJR with 15,889 miles. I ride the bike year round when possible and met all service requirements. I drive it at least 1-2 per month during the winter months (2-3 times a week during the other months) and the longest I have had fuel in a tank is 2 months. The other day, I pull it...

    Conti Motion

I will say that I was only able to get "almost" 5,000 miles out of these tires. The softer compound on the sides of the tire wore through very quickly... Seemed one day I had a little tread and the next there was core showing. Although the tire served me well when new, the life of the tire...

    Dealer performs hack job!

Is it possible to perform the recall without removing any of the fairing? Since I had mine done, there is a lot of creaking sounds (like marbles going over bumps). I notice it more at lower speed and with the wind shield up. Called the dealer and they want me to bring it back in. I said it...

    Conti Motion

Yep... feel the same way. Got the first 1k on them and I really like this tire. I went 49psi on the lead and 51 on the rear. Bike is much more nimble on the Conti's. It has been a pleasure to ride through the turns.

    Conti Motion

Went with the Conti and first ride is how you discribed the Road Attacks when it comes to Quick turn-in. Steering is much more nimble and rolling over in the turns is takinig a little time to adjust. Need a few more miles to get use to them and trust. The tire seems pretty quiet.

    Conti Motion

I was wondering if anyone out there has or had a set of Conti Motion's and what your thoughts are on the tires. I need a set and was leaning toward the Pilot 2 or Storms but my shop wanted to see how these Conti's perform and wanted me to be the ginnie in exchange for a discount on the tires...
