We're all expatriates. We have a foreign riders forum over here...so we all get together to go touring. The locals come with us every once in a while, but they often get scared away by the loud drunk "gaijin" who appear after we reach our destination. :lol:

Don't have time to write up a full ride report, so here are the good shots. Basically my friend Eric and I went up to Mount Fuji on Saturday and met up with some friends for a blast down to Izu on Sunday. :D

It's even stranger to see the big honkin' Harley full-baggers over here. :blink: Plenty of Japanese bikes though!

My wife being busy on Saturday and Sunday gave me a great excuse to join up with a couple of other local riders for a blast over to Hyogo. Beautiful scenery, twisty roads, and my still-new (to me) FJR made for a great overnight trip. The only bummer was the torrential rain on the highway heading...

Thanks for the detailed info everybody!! That's exactly what I needed to know. Those city cases look sweet. I think I want a set of those in addition to the bigger ones for touring! Only challenge is finding a Euro parts supplier that will ship international.

I'm seeing stock cases being sold from Yamaha for around $470 each. What I'm wondering is if they'll come complete with new locks in them (that I can take to a locksmith), or if I need to order locks separately along with the cases? Anybody ordered new side cases directly before? Thanks in...

Gonna be picking up an '03 this week for a killer deal, but it has no side cases. If I understand correctly, buying a new set from Yamaha is gonna cost me $1000+. Ouch. Anybody got a set lying around that they could let go of? I'd need to get international shipping, but that should be pretty...
