    Ohlins shock 09 FJR

I tried to bump my original listing but it appears that it did not work. I am selling my Ohlins shock on Ebay (sorry I do not know how to attach links). The shock has about 9 or 10K on it and is in excellent condition. This was the best modification by far that I did to my bike. The reserve...

2009 Yamaha Top Box / Ohlins Shock

Sold FJR (great bike) due to no more two up riding (first child is now with us) hello Multistrada. I have a Yamaha top box (black) in excellent condition. I used it maybe three times, most likely twice. I am asking 300 for it. I also have an Ohlins shock with maybe 9000 miles on it. This...

Fastest Tourer? FJR takes a respectable 6th place

I just sold my FJR and bought a Multistrada. I have rode close to half a million miles and the Multistrada is the best overall bike I have owned by far (out of about 20 or so). It does have an adjustable windscreen and is a very capable sport touring bike. I would hardly consider the lack of...

    Cycle World Feb 2011

Soon to come out will be another sport touring shoot out including an FJR. At least one tester picks the FJR. He liked the handling of the FJR over the others. Not all publications will exclude the FJR just because it hasnt received any major revisions as of late. It is still a very capable...

Just another reason to hate motorcyclists

This really pissed me off so thank you FJR forum for allowing me to vent. I was going up Decker road, 2 up, on my Hypermotard with one car ahead of me, a pack of 5 Harleys ahead of that car and one other car ahead of the Harleys. Decker Rd is very twisty with not a lot of passing opportunities...

Purchased 2010 FJR over KGT- Yessssss it feels good!

Congrats on your purchase. I was agonizing over the choice of FJR vs Concours. Obviously I chose the FJR and I love it now more than the day I purchased it. I ride a BMW everyday and it seems as if every other month something is wrong with it (in all honesty it does live a very rough life)...

Ouch! $31.00 plus to fill up a bike.

Its an 08 1200RTP The 7.2 Ive seen on the website and I believe it was listed as that in the manual as well. Motorcycle.com has it at 7.1 gals. The 28.5 mpg is not typical but it does happen every now and then. Just the other day we had to do a very extended escort ride for the Vietnam...

Ouch! $31.00 plus to fill up a bike.

The RT has a listed tank capacity of 7.2 gallons. I put 7.5, 7.6 gallons in it all the time. 7.9 ive done twice. I fill up at many different gas stations so I know its not one single gas station ripping off consumers. To address the above post regarding the MPG figures. Its an onduty police...

Ouch! $31.00 plus to fill up a bike.

Malibu. That is the 91 octane price. The full serve price is usually about 70 cents higher and you would be amazed by how many people pay for it. I guess if you live there (unfortunately I dont) you got the bucks to pay for it.

Ouch! $31.00 plus to fill up a bike.

I was hoping I would never see the day but just the other day it cost 31 dollars and change to fill up the bike. 7.9 gallons at 3.99 a gallon. On the positive side at least the RT doesnt need gas every day and can still get 225 miles to the tank. It seems like just the other day I was...

    2 up on the fjr

I recently purchased the FJR based on its two up ability. Our main concern was a flat seat due to her not wanting to be perched so far above me. My passenger is 5'13" (dont call her 6'1") and 140 lbs. I am 6ft even tipping the scales at 220. We have done 1000 mile plus rides before on...
