    Pulsating engine speed?

Interesting. The school I went to here, in the States, didn't say anything about using brakes - in fact they strongly discouraged any use of brakes in curves specifically. But it did feel natural the first time I tried it (in fact I subconsciously been using it for quite awhile, just never paid...

    Pulsating engine speed?

Now I need to fix the squeaking sound made by my rear brakes :D

    Pulsating engine speed?

I think I kind of figured out a way to deal with the "jerkiness" when starting to move or moving at very low speeds by rolling on the throttle a bit more than usual and holding the foot brake, using the latter to "smooth out" the jerkiness. It works well for left turns, but not so well for tight...

    Pulsating engine speed?

Agree on the low speed maneuvers: I can't do a u-turn without help with my foot as it's very unstable and hard to control. I'm definitely gonna give the PC a go! Thanks all for your help! P.S. I'm definitely going to have more questions once I get to that, so beware ;)

    Pulsating engine speed?

Mine does affect the ride as well - it's not just the idle, it's also doing that under low acceleration as well. If I give it a little more kick - it's not noticeable, but if I accelerate just a little bit, or coast - then the bike even starts to jerk a little bit. I'll ask the dealer to do the...

    Pulsating engine speed?

Well, I've been to a dealer once, and they said everything's fine, so I wanted to check with others before I go there again insisting something is not right :)

    Pulsating engine speed?

Ummm... It doesn't change when it warms up, only the idle RPMs drop, but still keeps pulsating. Sometimes it evens out, then starts pulsating again. Not sure what "leaned out" means, sorry :( Yikes! :) From what I've read so far it seems that PowerCommander is a rather widely used thing...

    Pulsating engine speed?

One of the things I wanted to consult with people is the pulsating engine speed of my 2008 FJR. Here's what it sounds like: It doesn't feel right. In the vid the bike is cold, but it does the same when it's warm. I also think it might be what contributes to the jerking when I start moving...

What happens with AE if it runs out of gas?

I appreciate it, however someone before you have already answered my question ;) You know, there's a russian saying: a smart person learns from other's experiences, a fool - from his own ;) Once again: I don't want to experiment with things that I don't know how they work under certain...

What happens with AE if it runs out of gas?

Thanks! The most useful post so far! :) Before I've switched to the FJR, I rode a Suzuki Boulevard, and I did have an instance where I ran out of gas just less than a mile before a gas station, so I simply coasted right up to the pump. It was my first time on the highway for that long on that...

What happens with AE if it runs out of gas?

Sure, I can find myself what happens when a tire blows up, or some other such. But in this case it might be rather unsafe, don't you think? The purpose of my question was to find that out: whether running out of gas on AE (or any other uncommon situation, such as engine trouble or switching the...

What happens with AE if it runs out of gas?

Thank you, that's the answer I was looking for! I will never understand why some people feel the need to reply, when they don't know the answer... :(

What happens with AE if it runs out of gas?

The point was to find out whether the bike will coast enough to get off a busy highway and not get hit from behind, when you suddenly start to decelerate in the hammer lane.

    How do you Pump Tires?

Awesome! I do use the Slime pump, and it's the major pain to connect it, so this thing does seem to solve that issue (I hope - judging by the lever on AccuGauge it seems a lot easier to put onto the stem than the Slime's native one). Thank you!

    How do you Pump Tires?

While searching for something to make the pumping (and pressure checking) easier, I've found the CO2 tire inflators. Did anybody use them? Is it worth to try?

    How do you Pump Tires?

Hi all, it's me again :) This time with a really funny question: how do you, guys, pump tires on your FJRs? Every time I have to pump them, it's a real pain in the butt... or, rather, in the hands: it's INSANELY difficult to reach the stem, let alone attach the pump to them, especially on the...

What happens with AE if it runs out of gas?

Somehow I think that turning the ignition off or switching the engine cut-off switch is not the same as running out of gas, because in both cases it might remove power from the YCC-S, whereas if it just runs out of gas - YCC-S might still have the power to properly disengage. It's weird...
