Cleaned the millions of dead bugs that sacrificed themselves for my riding enjoyment over the weekend along the Lochsa and Lolo Pass.

Made the run today, no construction issues. Did run into a couple spots where the road has a serious ridge in the middle. The only model of motorcycle I saw more of than FJR's was Goldwings. Saw 2 '07's go by together, chatted with the owner of an '08, saw a '13 go by at the summit of Lolo...

Realized I never got back to answer this. One of my local Yamaha dealers, Westside, confirmed it's the $7990 that is listed on Yamaha's site.

I pulled the price directly from Yamaha's own website. I think I will stop at one of my local dealers tomorrow and see what they have to say as well.

Nice bike, my wife rides an '06 version of the bike, first year of the 6 speed transmission. Windex works well on all the chrome.

Anyone else ever experience truly poor fuel economy after filling up on a military base? My last tank netted me 30mpg, that's a lot lower than normal, actually lower than anything I have ever had with this bike. This happened to me years ago with my 2000 Concours, which I was able to reproduce...

I had heard that but, what about one that I connect to my battery tender cable? That would have enough power/amperage.

I have been thinking about heated gloves myself but, they do always seem really bulky. I will be interested to see what people mention, also wonder if you can get gloves that use a standard 12v "lighter" socket like the one in the glove box on our bikes.

I miss my Victory sometimes, you can just make out the pic in my avatar, '04 Kingpin that I sold 2 years ago to get my FJR. Same seat as yours, I never had a problem with it, of course I like the stock FJR seat too.
