Why is it that Yamaha make the FJR battery so impossible to get to? Yet the oil filter arrangement is the best I have seen? On my ZX14 (and the C14), the battery was located in its own little compartment, that opens up with a simple clip.... The Busa battery and fuses are under the seat...

No, I am sure you can flash the ECU. It is just a matter of cracking the ECU programming code. It has been done for the Busa and works very well. Rgds

Yes, that is one of the reasons I am about 99% sold on the Feejer over the new Trumpy. The design is well proven, all the bugs are ironed out. Japanese electronics just work. I also want to just turn the key and go. The Trumpy is a first year model....with lots and LOTS of...

Thanks. Yes, the max speed on the CC is easily changed if you have the software code.

The manual for the new bike is on the Yamaha US website. It explains the switches quite well - they look quite simple.

How is the throttle action? Light? Lighter than a gen 2 (which was too heavy)...

Are they physical cables going to the throttle bodies? I thought it had fly by wire throttles - i.e. electronic?

Hello all from Tropical OZ. I am a former Gen 2 owner, seriously thinking about a Gen 3....I currently ride a very modded 2010 Busa (LSL Bars, lowered pegs, Yoshi cans and a flashed ECU). Very interested in your observations on the Gen 3. She sure looks good. Much nicer than the barge-like...
