    2019 Miles Report

Congrats on your 2019 Moto Miles but isn’t the KZ1300 a motorcycle?  If so, 19,729 plus 298 put you in the 20k class for 2019.  Pretty good year for a CBA senior citizen!

    2019 Miles Report

I think you need to re-check your math, you rode 14k miles in 2018 but over 20k miles in 2019.

What happens when your engineer friend .....

There was also a bit of a technical challenge in addition to the extensive parts replacements....how to set and adjust the damping settings since the inverted forks now have non-operating electrical stepper motors in the fork caps.....and figuring out how those motors changed the damping when...

Is the preload on the rear shock on a ES adequate ?

A “heavy rider” could be anywhere from 230 to 400 lbs and loaded luggage could be anywhere from 20 to 80 lbs depending if a trunk has been added.  I did a bunch of sag measurements on my 14ES and when the rear sag exceeded 50mm with a 365lb total load, I felt both ride quality and handling...

Is ES worth the money ?

I bought the ES because it was the only way to get inverted forks on a FJR and I think the handling improvements of the inverted forks is worth the extra cost over a A model.  The suspension’s plush ride was a pleasant surprise. I wish the damping adjustments could be independently adjusted but...

Buying a New Shock: Spring Rate Question

General rule of thumb is that you can go up or down 2 sizes (100 lbs) in spring rate without having to revalve. Since your original question was for a single spring to use for both solo and 2-up riding, it sounds like the shock you are considering would split the difference. Hopefully it is...

Mojolever and 2017 original Battleax tires

What you are describing in removing the worn tire is not uncommon, especially those with stiff sidewalls. I use 5 one inch wooden blocks, spaced equally, to push all of the sidewall down into the center of the rim at the same time and then look for the largest gap to push the Mojo lever past...

Buying a New Shock: Spring Rate Question

Kevin, you are not answering the question being asked unless you state how much weight you are carrying on your 900lb spring riding solo and when you are loaded up with trailer.....and.....different subject....preload does NOT change the spring rate and make the spring soft or hard. Hopefully...

If the laptop has a HDMI output it can be connected to any TV with a HDMI input. Also true for an iPad to connect to a HDMI TV but it requires a $50 adapter.
