I use a piece of 1 1/2 inch drain line which I cut off about 12 inches from the flared end. . I slide the pipe over the center stand which makes it very easy to lift. I have no trouble lifting our Gold Wing but can not lift the FJR without this extra leverage.

I just had Traxxion Suspension install a 8975 on my 2008, I weigh 175lbs. The settings they used were Compression 34 out, Rebound 28 out, Preload 9mm. They used a 800 lb spring. I also had ;them install AK 20's in the forks. Wow, what a different bike.

I just this week installed a top case on my 2008. I had the same problem. I simply pushed it down to get the screws started then completed the install. No problem.
