    FJR on Pieowa

Before I start this report, let me just say that this is the only group of people who will "get" the reason for this ride. I tried explaining it to "normal" people, and it just generates a lot of blank looks (or eye rolls, in the case of my wife). So for them, I just said I was taking a ride...

    '15 ES Shock Removal

Dan Cooper for the win! Removing the mufflers allowed the swingarm to drop enough to provide sufficient room to lift out the shock. It's off to EPM for a rebuild. We'll see if I notice any improvement. Thanks Dan.

    '15 ES Shock Removal

I posted more about this on fjriders.com, but here's the summary: Just finished a call with George and we think the way to skin this cat is removing the swingarm. That will provide clearance to allow the shock and attached plumbing and electronics to lift up and out. Unfortunately, I don't have...

    '15 ES Shock Removal

I'm trying to remove the rear shock on my '15 ES and have reached a hurdle. I'm having trouble removing the DC motor coupler and can't find the stepper motor coupler. As a picture is worth a thousand words, this video may save me a lot of typing. Second bit: The FSM doesn't say as much, but...

    FJR Mileage Milestones

With Tony's quarter-mill post above, I feel like a garage band following the Rolling Stones, but I hit 100k on the '15 on the way back from NAFO/YFO on Sunday.

    Sad News

Ray, I am so saddened to hear this. It was always a joy to see the two of you at a rally. The love and affection was obvious. I hope you find comfort and strength from those around you in the real world, and here online. Peace, my friend.

CFO 2021 - Happy Birthday to me

CFO returns this year to Dubuque, and this time it's personal. Because really the only reason I'm doing this is because I booked it for my birthday weekend, when I hit the big 6-0. So this time, CFO stands for Craig's Fuckin' Old. There will be no T-shirts. There will be a meal on Saturday...
