No! Engine wear varies approximately by the square of rpm. Brakes are cheap and easy to replace, engines are expensive and difficult to replace/rebuild.

What do you mean it does not work? What are the symptoms? I have an 06 with ABS and have no ABS error codes; however, if I apply rear brake it will lock up. The check engines/system light works, so I wonder what the issues is. That's not what I expect from an ABS.

Mine does this 1,500 to 2,000 miles after an oil change. I use 15w-40 synthetic. As such, I change oil when the clutch and transmission gets to feeling wonky. I would use 5w-40, but I'm a bit worried it's too light for the ring tension and valve train.
