One of my gifts from Santa this year was the 2005 official review of the TT. The reason I always like to watch the TT, is because you get to see riders leagally charging hard on a public highway. My favourite part of this DVD is a bonus footage featuring Martin Finnegan doing a lap on his CBR1000RR, while maintaining an average speed of 123mph around the course.

The camera is mounted on the lower left fairing, showing front fork travel, front wheel hitting rough road, wheelies, lines, transitions etc. It also includes a dual with another rider on a GSXR1000. This is the fastest footage I have ever seen on a highway, these guys are absolutely frickin' flying! :dribble:

If you know of a buddy who has it, I suggest you set up camp at their place and hold on tight.

Keep an eye out for the Britten V1000 in the Classic Parade Lap featuring 10 times TT winner Giacomo Agostini. B)

There is supposed to be a TT style event in Nova Scotia this year. I think it's open to autos as well.

Don't have the link, but I think it is going to have special stages like the Dakar, or WRC, instead of laps around a circuit.

I might have to take a ride up there.
