05 mirrors

Do the mirrors on an 05 fold in? In one of the FZ1 mirror conversion threads it shows a FJR with the mirrors folded in but I think it is a Gen II

Don;t want to crank on the things if they are not meant to fold.

Shipping the bike to germany in a few weeks so it would be great if they did.

yep, they are internally "notched"

push on the stem up and back and they snap a bit and then fold

granted, I have had FZ1 mirrors for a number of years now that I installed shortly after getting the bike

I think the aftermarket FZ1 types, the Chinese knock-offs, don't fold.

Yamaha mirrors fold, original FJR or the longer FZ1 mirrors.

They do, but not much. The FZ-1 mirrors fold in tight. On the OEMs, you save maybe a couple inches. For shipping, you could always take them off if you really needed to.
