Indeed, the pin out info is in the schematic at the back of the FSM. There is no listing of pins, you have to read the schematic and figure it out on your own.
1) the communications between the ECU and the meter assembly is serial, you would have to tap into the serial bus and decode the addressing and data packets
2) the meter assembly takes in analog signals and does an on board A/D conversion, no pins associated with the digital signals
3) indicator signals (turn, neutral, etc) do go to the PCB in the meter assembly and ON/OFF bulbs & LEDs (depending on Gen) show status
