Well I experienced a flat on the front of my 06 this morning while on the highway. Didn't do anything strange, the steering just started to feel really heavy. Noticed it immediately and pulled of at a ramp that was right there. CAA (AAA) came with a flat bed and the driver knew want he was doing. He rides an R1 so I felt comfortable with how he dealt with bikes.

Now I'm taking of the front wheel and have encountered clearance problems. I have the front end elevated (by pushing down on the back while on the centerstand) and then blocking up the front under the fork legs. The back tire is touching the ground and I can't seem to get the front wheel low enough for ABS sensor to clear the fork leg. Calipers are off.

I don't fancy jacking under the engine and it wouldn't get the front any higher anyway. I don't think taking the fender off will do much either.

Easy suggestions?

Thanks

A 1" or 1" 1/2 piece of wood under the centerstand might give you enough clearence. You may need some help to lift the bike on to the center stand.
