Not sure where to put this post but I was contiplating the 06 riser problem the folks who usually make them have with the new 06 handlebar configuration. The problem being manufacturing a riser that allows the 06 to have the proper rise and pullback is very difficult because of the design of the current setup. The difficulty is making a riser to do the job safely and economically. Heli has used the approach of the new top tree but it requires alterations and has a higher cost and have not addressed the issue of a proper rise in their setup. From what I have heard the rise will only be minimal. They do have an excellent and good looking product though. My idea is someone could make a set of handlebars that would bolt directly to the stock Yamaha setup but would have more rise and pullback built into the handlebars while still using the stock cables. I really think this could be done and would not cost an arm and a leg. And there would be no alterations to the bike and no excessive work involved to do the install. I'm sure there are those out there that could accomplish this thus eliminating alot of headache and have a decent looking product too. Anyone have some ideas on this? PM. <>< k:
