06 Windshield Screws

I broke one of the screws installing the vstream for the winter. Any suggestions other than Yamaha for replacements. Thanks

Yes....Yamaha replacements because of this thread. They're designed to break off in a get off and you must have overtorqued it.

Well today I took the vstream off to put the stock shield back on for the warmer weather and I saw that another screw had broken off meaning I needed two screws. My friend fjr sent me one so I thought in all my junk I would find something to fit. After trying many metal screws I turned to a package of license plate screws, which are nylon, and although wider and shorter lo and behold it worked. It would not fit the middle center hole but it fit the middle side fine and the stocker is dually installed. Thanks again FJReady.
