I had a 07. I would try to talk them down a bit on the price but its a great bike. A lot of talk about the throttle response but it was never an issue for me. I loved the bike. Sold it, bought another, sold it and bought a 2014. If the funds allow go for a gen 3 if not the gen 2s are solid bikes.

Recalls done? Valves (due @ 26k) checked? ABS working properly on both wheels? Any extras? Dealer? If so, what dealer... you didn't give your state? We know the reputation of a lot of these dealers. Private party?

I have to ask you, have you rode it yet? The early 06 & 07's have some off throttle roll on issues. At low speeds they tend to jump or come alive a little to quick. I put a power commander (PCIII) & a G2 throttle tube on mine and help but still not perfect.

Trading is always easier but ride it. Find those odd ball corners where 2nd is to tall. That other bike is only 600 miles a way.

I have 96,000 miles on mine and the only thing that has went wrong is I had a starter solenoid go bad. I love the color & don't plan on selling.

One other thing you can expect is to spend money on tires, but that is not a bad thing!

As stated by Panman above, snatchy throttle issues (real bad on mine). I also installed a PCIII and a G2 throttle tube which fixed it 90% for me. However, compared to my 2011 not as smooth. Also has a very heavy clutch compared to my 2011. Great bike still and it is my favorite color for sure! However if you can get a newer Gen 2 and avoid having to deal with power commanders and throttle tube changes, I'd suggest that route.

Agreed on the snatchy throttle response, but otherwise I have 35K virtually trouble-free miles!

I still think this is the best FJR color followed by the incredible red for the 2014 model, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, YMMV.....

'07 is definitely one of the prettiest colors they've used on the FJR. I've gotten more compliments on mine than just about any bike I've ever ridden.

Snatchy throttle seems to vary with the bike. When I first bought mine it was an adjustment. Throttle body sync and some miles of just riding it I learned to deal with it. Of course I've also been on a few others that were worse and one or two that were better so I guess it's just a matter of manufacturing tolerances or something. I just left my niece's husband take mine for a test ride yesterday and he didn't find it too objectionable.
