Only $15595 (+T&T) on this 07AE!!!!!

So, is it just me, or, would anyone else feel they were making a big mistake dropping a bike off for work at a dealership that wants to quote $15595 on a year old AE? My ass hurts. Nope, hang on...no it doesn't. I'm just psychic.

A dealer in Salem, Ohio is listing leftover 06AE's for $9,995.00 + the BS, OTD price was just over 12.

I dunno, just because some people are silly enough to pay what the dealer asks without bargaining doesn't mean their maintenance manager and shop are out of whack. Nothing is stopping their customers from doing research and offering a fair market value. JMO.

You never know who will pay MSRP even on a year old bike.

Some jackass will go in and be like, wow I could trade my harley and only owe about $1000 for that superior performing, reliable, comfortable FJR.

Nah, wait, it doesn't have tassels, deals off....

I just picked up a new 2007 AE in Hollywood yesterday. OTD with 60 months Y.E.S $14.2k I tried to get lower but that really seemed to be the bottom across several dealers in the area. I feel happy - the bike makes me smile :)

BTW any concerns about the AE in parking lots, in traffic etc, are completely unfounded in my (short) experience. I admit I've only done about 30 miles commuting to work, but this thing's a breeze. Twist the throttle you go forward, back it off - the clutch disengages. No muss, no fuss. Even I can figure it out! Must admit I did blip it this morning coming out my drive and shot forward - but that was just complete operator error. Fortunately got head into gear fast enough so no harm done. So far so good....

Hollywood? North Hollywood Yamaha?

I looked there in July 2006 when I bought my AE. They would not move from MSRP. Went to L.A. Yamaha in Marina Del Rey. Had great OTD prices.

Sounds like you got a good deal in So Cal.

Oh yeah, NH Yami wouldn't even try to match the OTD price from L.A. Yamaha.

Congrats on the bike. :clapping:

I just spoke to someone in California today who works for Yamaha, he said the 08's are right at the price someone was talking a dealer was trying to get for the 07's? I don't understand that at all, I guess if a dealer can find an ass for his seat at that price he'll be happy (very happy indeed). The new 08's color for the A Model is Raven, and the AE he said was silver, I'm figuring the same silver it has always been. He also said the transmissions have been changed for the 08 models (but they are still 5 speed), and the ABS System was also changed on the 08's, he didn't elaborate about any of these changes. If I were looking for a new bike I'd wait for the 08's to come out, if the prices he quoted me were correct (and he did say MSRP) I think you may be surprised. That one dealer and others who have 06's and 07's may want to reduce the selling price of their older stock, I would wait to see how far and fast their prices fall, and fall they should very soon if what I was told was true.
