I’ve been actively searching CL for an FJR and am amazed at the number of scam ads there are. I’m not saying this ad is one, just that searching the CL area in and around Ohio for FJR’s and Moto Guzzi turns up a ton of the most obvious scams, cut and paste the text and pics jobs. Saw a nice vintage Eldorado for $2000 posted from 5 different cities and 2 states.

It used to be the scams were obvious by the odd prices they asked - $1835, etc. and more recently, the stilted copy is not “American “ phrasing. It’s gotten to be fun finding them since I’m not ready to buy yet.

I think I'm more wary of a ten year old bike with 650 miles than with 65,000...

$6k for an '08 sounds about right for asking price, though.

It's also not Black, so I must assume that this is an AE model!

EDIT: Yep, I zoomed in and see the button on the left grip.

Yep, AE described as an 'electric shift' in the ad. Also not black... kinda dark gray.

Even with the unbelievable low miles, the only way he will get the asking price is if someone really NEEDS the AE. Just too much for a 10 year old machine.
