08 Glovebox outlet tap

Hello gang, I have a new to me 2008, and a new zumo 350 that I'd like to install. I'm looking to tap into the 12v socket in the glovebox, but I'm having difficulties accessing it. I got the small panel off just behind the glovebox door, but can't seem I get anything else off to access the wires coming from the plug. Any help with this would be great.

You can access the wires from below if you remove the inner black panel on the left side fairing. Think inner fender of a car. It's the panel that surrounds the horn and has three Phillips head screws and a couple plastic push pins that holds it in place.
