09 auto windshield auto retract disable?

so i have scoured the forums for info on this topic and have come up empty. I tore into my 09 to disable the auto retract feature for the windshield and found a 6 pin connector with a 6 pin jumper, removed it and the windshield wouldnt move... any ideas?

Weird. I found pertinent info in about 30 seconds by entering your exact words +auto +retract +disable.
