Thought I'd post this in this section so that more members would see this accomplishent.
A guy I know, who happens to drop in here from time to time, called Yellow Wolf rode Deals Gap for 24 hours; non-stop. He made 58 round trip runs totalling 1001.?? miles. The effort was witnessed by several people and it was documented completely. The IBA will not sanction the run because the posted limit is 35 mph and that was exceeded to accomplish this. YW did not do it to get IBA recognition and is not pissed that it will not be rcognized. He just did it because people did not think he could. He made the 1000 miles with 8 minutes remaining in the allotted 24 hours.
His fastest one way lap was 11 min 30 seconds. If you have not ridden Deals; that's scalding for most riders (on a sportbike). Consider that he did it on a Goldwing. I've ridden with the man and can tell you that he is a **** hot rider.
I thought you might be interested in this.
Congrats Rick! Good on 'ya. :yahoo:
