A name has emerged that it would appear we need to remember. Scott Redding. (Brit)

Aged 15 years and 62 days

In his first GP.

In his first big circuit race.

On a year old bike.

The youngest ever rider to qualify on the front row of any GP race.

Climbed from 9th on the first lap across a large gap to the leading pack and through to 3rd 3 laps from home. Only inexperience lost him 2 positions on the last lap to finish 5th.

The comentary team were comparing his lines to Rossi when he was on a 125. He would go in very wide using all the track giving him huge corner speed and if there was no-one in the way he would catapult past a rider or get tremendous drive down the next straight, or both.

Bradley Smith 17 year old Brit was on pole and led for the first 2 laps. Something went wrong with the bike and he dropped back to 17th in 2 laps. He then gathered momentum again but could not catch 16th for a point before the end of the race.

15 year old Brit Danny Webb finished 6th. We have something to look forward to this year.

The winner rode with a broken collar bone and had to be helped out of his leathers as soon as he pulled up.
