"1400 AI open or short" Error Code

Hi All,

I have a problem with my 2016 ES.

1. Engine light has come on

2. ABS light has come on.

3. Cruise indicator flashes when you switch it on and will not set or resume.

4. Suspension will not adjust.

NOTE: All other selectable controls are working Heated Grips, Windshield, Display Options.

We used a code reader to check it and it has a "1400 AI OPEN OR SHORT" error coming up.

I have checked both brake switches, clutch switch, all plugs, and fuses ( tested with a meter ).

Bike is running perfectly, with the exception of the Cruise and Suspension, as mentioned above.

Appreciate any thoughts on my next step. 

Last choice is the dealer, I guess.

Spring is here, so need some big brain help.

Al - Was the bike stored over the winter? Possible wiring damage from a furry friend? I'd pull covers over battery area where ECU resides and LH side panel / air cleaner area and check for chewed wiring. Take a look at the FSM for other ideas...Good Luck!
