As you know I went home yesterday to give my broken toe a little relief. I sat in my porch with the cool air blowing around me, my feet up on the footstool watching the TV. All was great, but the TV would cut in and out because of a branch that was blowing in front of the satellite dish ( my wife told me to remove it last week and of course I didn't). I looked outside on the deck and there sat my ladder. So I got up went into the garage grabbed my lopping shears, set the ladder up and up on the roof i went to do a 30 second job. Am looking at what branch was in the way, wrap the jaws around the branch and cut it off. Picked it up and through it over the side of the house.
It looked like it had dust coming from it as it went down. I watch it fall with this dust coming from the branches, it was about then I realized what the dust was? I turned around to get out of there and they hit me.. Not needing any thing to slow me down I drop the shears not taking any particular aim as I got rid of them, it landed right on my broken toe dropping me to the roof in the fetal position. The bee's not caring about my toe started stinging my body with a vengeances ( did I tell you I only had shorts on ). I came out of the fetal position shortly after the bee's got there my sore toe and all across roof I hobbled with as much speed as I could slapping bee's as I went. I got to the ladder with every thing I had, am nothing but pain from top to bottom, I had to keep going because the bee's had no mercy. I thought of jumping in to the pool from the roof but with my sore toe and all I might have missed or hit the diving board. So down the ladder I went, of course in my hurried state I didn't take the care that one would normally take. Out goes the ladder from under me and down to the deck I go on my back. Still some what alert I open my eyes thinking the bee's where going to follow, but they seem to think I had enough and went to survey there own problems.
So when you think your day is going bad, think of this little episode and it should bring you back to my life. I sat back in my chair moaning with my feet up and the cool air blowing around me thinking life is great.
