I just got done pulling an 18 hour shift of homework to get 48 hours off. Saturday morning til Monday Morning is free. The summer school classes I am taking for my master's degree is brutal. I understand better than most about the value of homework, projects, and assignments, but 2 of my 3 professors are completely psycho. The pacing of this class is bullet-train like. They are handing out 8 page mini-research papers like tootsie rolls. And they are checking for proper citing and APA style like their life depends on it. They are using this website called "Turn it in .com" If you even think about plagiarizing something, it lets you know. Not that I would do it on purpose, but I am not even taking a chance of getting whacked on that. I had to wait for one of the teachers to "release" the assignment through the internet at midnight. It is due on Monday night at midnight but I am done with that sucker now. Anyway, I am free for 48 hours.

I have to be back home Monday morning to teach driver ed. Behind the wheel with 2 farm kids starts at 7am. I know these kids can drive since they drive farm equipment all the time. Heck, one of them drives combines that are worth over 350K dollars. I hear the other kid drives to school sometimes and parks off campus so he won't get caught.

Prob going to stay in state and head toward a river road. Maybe ride the Great River Road up to Wisconsin border. I wonder if Airboss is home yet?

It is 2:37 AM, time to head home and sleep this homework hangover off. Illinois geography sucks. 10 hours at least to the great roads. I will have to settle for some okay ones.

Good for you for busting it to get a couple of days off. I find myself in a never ending battle with my (rather absurd) job responsibilities and schedule, the needs of two young boys, ages 4 and 6, and even mundane things like yard work. Going for a ride is a rare luxury in the current season of my life and when I find a full day available for riding, it's a real treat. My wife is encouraging me to take a "father's day" day on the bike sometime next weekend because I've been working for 5 weekends in a row.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Illinois destinations so can't offer you any advice on where to go, but I hope you have a fantastic couple of days and get your batteries recharged a bit.

Still in Tucson.

Heading home early tomorrow morning. May take 4-5 days to get back garmin shows a near 2500 mile route. I have a few Tour of Honor sites to visit in CO, KS, and MO.

Point A to point B would be pretty boring if it was a straight line.
