2" black rubber luggage supports

stupid question i think .but i have to ask;; With the luggage

removed, the 2" black rubber supports ; will they fall off the

bike? should i remove them

They are fine, don't worry about them.

They are glued on. You should not be able to remove them easily if installed per manufacturer instructions.
