From MSF:

"Hello Michael

The Bumper Stickers will only be available in the new year.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm going to get a few for my vehicles. I'll check with MSF again in a few weeks and update everybody.

I may have Photoshopped the phart photo of frolicking friends fearlessly flinging their FJR far faster than fifty-five down the four-oh-five freeway while flatulating…

…but I didn’t phake the original, and the AMA booth at the Long Beach Motorcycle show had literally hundreds of the darn things to give away to new members, so I’m stumped as to why they’re suddenly “…only available in the new year.”

Oh, well. Phuck ‘em.

Passenger's probably trying odot's technique for passing gas although he says he stands totally up on the pegs.
Sorry to spoil this wholesome image.

I thought he was just hitting the afterburner for a quicker launch....... :p

sticker is a tiny "Yamaha" logo that represents the manufacturer of the drums I play (Yamaha Recording Customs)...placed there long before I bought the FJR.

Hey Lee, fellow 06 owner and Yamaha drum owner. I've got a set of Yamaha Maple Customs myself, blue sparkle too. Also own a blue Dakota, blue Pontiac G6, there's something about blue....... :dribble:

Smoke: Cool! We Yamaha rider/players gotta stick together. The Forum's own SlapNPop has designed a very nice custom-engraved snare drum. It's interesting that the Yamaha logo is three tuning forks, apparently indicating precision in the design/production of musical instruments and things on two wheels that go fast.

Sweet! I'd like to see that. I've wondered but not asked SlapNPop if he was a musician and specifically a bass player. Maybe he'll chime in here and answer. Or, you probably know the answer to that as well. My brother is a bass player and we used to play in bands together back in the good ol days.

You rider/players don't forget that the tuning forks are positioned differently between motorcycles and musical instruments. The fork is turned up on one and down on the other.

Just thought I would throw in some useless trivia since I don't have a photo of myself releasing afterburner gas to share.

:p

Really? My Yamaha drums and motorcycle all seem to have the same Yamaha logo:

Am I missing something?

Remember I wrote earlier about how some of us less fortunates might want one? Well, my good man Highlander answered my plea and sent not one, but two different MSF stickers from the CW show to my house! :clapping: :yahoo:

I wasted no time putting the second one to work. There was no room for a bumper sticker on the Feej, so I did some creative cut & paste work and Voila:

I'm surprised that no one's mentioned AMA's previous recruiting ad featuring our favorite rocket ship (at least I didn't see the thread). From October 2006:

P.S. My BMW K1200RS-riding buddy whom I'm following in my "Can't Drive 55" video commented famously, "The problem with riding motorcycles is that you can't smell your farts." He's always had a close relationship with his, uh, bodily functions, and always likes to share it, much to my chagrin...

The Bumper Stickers are now available. Here is a reply I receieved yesterday from the MSF, to my emails:

"Hello Michael

The decals have been released today. We have 2 different bumper stickers -" Your car can kill " and " Look out for us. Please"

The cost is $0.25 each but have to be purchase in increments of 6.

Thanks,

Anneke

I believe the difference in moto vs. musical Yamaha logos is that the points of the tuning forks on the music logo stop short of the outer border; whereas the forks on the moto logo end in the middle of the border. How's that for useless information?
