Not my bike. Just passing on a craigslist ad.

https://wichita.craigslist.org/mcy/3732456316.html

$4750 asking price.

If someone wants me to look at it for them, let me know.

Steve

Partial quote:

The Good:
new tires with less than 300 miles
Yamaha matching tail bag (I paid ~$600)
Throttlemeister friction type "cruise control"
frame sliders
K&N air filter
always use full synthetic oil

The Bad:
This bike has been ridden and taken care of but not pampered. I live on a dirt road, so it has dust in places that are hard to get to, and I have kids that have skuffed it up getting their bikes out of the garage etc. In addition, I've dropped it on both sides in parking lot type mishaps (before I got the frame sliders, unfortunately). It's not bad, just nowhere near perfect.
The clear headlight cover got checked (crackled plastic) somehow. It wasn't stored outside or hit, so this is a mystery. I will refund the purchase price of $300 for a new one. It works and is structurally sound, if you just want to pocket the money and live with it.
The fork seals need to be replaced soon but not immediately. My shop estimated $300, so I will refund that amount. Do it yourself and save.
I'm not insulted by low offers, the worst I can say is no, but you might be wasting your time.

I thought this looked like a good bike for the price. I missed the mileage at first, but it's in the heading of the CL ad itself--28,000 miles. Not bad at all or an '05. I called this guy just now to ask about that and the tank bag mount I saw in the pictures (you see the ring around the gas cap). He has the bag and it's included; says it's made by Held. A few other nice farkles too (that's a stock seat).

Considering he's already said he'd take $600 of the advertised price for a couple of not-horrible issues, this could be a great buy.

I'd agree. I've got an 05 and I wouldn't even entertain an offer under 7500... of course I've got a zillion farkles, but still, that's a great price for someone who can handle the scratches and etc. that would need some paint/body work.

+1 Gary -- My dealer offered me bone stock price for a trade in of $6500.... same milage as that one.

Can't say I have a zillion farkles, but mine are all quality for sure - LeoVince, Wilburs f+r, sliders, multiple seat options, multiple windshields, risers

Thats a good price on that 05... IMO

That'a a great trade in offer, Warp. Bone stock w 27k (give or take a few) miles? Whoa. I paid 6500 for mine nearly 3 years ago with 4k miles on it. Amazing how these things hold their value once they derpreciate a little. I think I might get myself a 013 in 4 or 5 years once they depreciate a little. Anyway, hope somebody on this forum snaps up that bike. It's got ABS as well. For my hide, it's priceless.

Yeah - I know the dealer, but not sure if he didn't mind taking a hit on the trade for moving a new 13... could be or he was looking at the wrong numbers. This was over the phone, and I was not quoted a full retail price on the 13 FJR. He was pretty fair.... Like $14,900....
