Anyone know what the circled knob is for?

Is the adjustment knob just on the AE or will we find it on the A, too?

Signed,

Too poor to put an E at the end of my 06A order :D

Heated grip controller?

Don't know but there seems to be another knob on the opposite side for something.

Or...

Try this... https://tinyurl.com/94pn8

Note: Small caption at upper r/h corner still says "2005 Model". Those aren't 05 bars. MamaYama confuse me sometimes. Click on it and watch what happens.

I also briefly went over the features and specs and didn't see anything about heated grips although I thought I read that was standard on the AE somewhere. Must be automatic! :haha:

Or maybe just on my 07 model. "Super-Fast-Blue"

The heated grip controler is where the hazard light switch is currently.

Ohhh... that's purdy. Wonder if we'll be able to hack into that and plug in some heated clothes??

And ooooOOohh... lookee, the GB is painted to match! (Actually I would have just preferred it be flat black plastic...)

The fairing seems to open and close next to the frame! Maybe they did fix the heat issue. Wonder what that grey button is for on the AE. The 2 black knobs are for the headlights.

The bike is very different to the 05!

I do believe that is for switching between the hand and foot gear change.

They are definitely for the headlight adjustment - each side has one and it manual raises or lowers the light on that side. They didn't have the power available at the bike show though to see how much the beam actually changes but there seems to be a good bit of adjustment in the angle while were playing with it. I would imagine it will come in handy if you are riding two up or loaded down.

Wonder how the fairing works? Manually I assume. Boy the whole cooling scenario is different. I am pumped having been baked on my 05 for so many summer months in the south!

The 12 volt socket hardly has room for the plug! Wonder if there is a way to lead the wire out of the box for clothing etc.

To add another 12v outlet go to Radio Shack and get a 90 degree swivel dual cigar outlet. If you want more than 2 or 3 plug ins, get another adapter and put it in one of the plugs. I have my 05 rigged up that way. very simple, easy to remove the unit that are powered if you want to. Much simpler but not as attractive as hard wiring. IMHO, tis function over form!! :p

The grey button turns the heated grips on and off.

There is no switch to choose foot or bar shifting, you can do either / or at any time.

Early word had it that the heated grips came only on the AE, which is silver in the US, but the pic is a blue bike ? Maybe it's a Euro model ??

Edit :

Of course now I check Ians' profile and he's from Scotland.

Sorry US 06 blue dudes you may be SOL. :D
