2006 AE "Shift" light after Penske install

Looks like unplugging the computer/disconnecting the negative post on the battery has done me in. I've not yet started to figure out how to read the codes from the POS FSM, probably do that tomorrow.

I turned on the ignition and tried to start the ol' girl as I was passing by her in the shop, nothing except the "shift light". What have I done? Is there anyway to "reset" this stuff? What step in the procedure have I missed? On my second glass of wine tonight so I'm not tearing into this tonight, odds are I'd make it worse..

I'll post up an alternative AE procedure tomorrow for changing the shock, including pictures and procedures.

Any idea? I'll try to retreive the error codes tomorrow. Thanks

On the "to do" list today. I was hoping for some sort of "reset" option

When the shock was installed did you remove the shift lever on the servo motor splined shaft? My mechanic did that to gain access to that area. Check the spline match marks. If it is off just 1 tooth the bike will never start. When I came to pick up the bike it wouldn't start and they gave me a loner bike over night. The next morning we fixed it.

Thanks Brodie, good suggestion, I didn't know that would be a problem. I did learn a lot from a "yccs diagnostic" search though.

But....Ah....I fixed it. The solution isn't worth mentioning but Rushes was close.

Let's just say in "diagnostic mode" the error code would have come up "*******"

That computer plug is a big one.. Bet it was not snapped tight.. I did my Barbarian mod and had to fight that big *****
