2006 FJR speedo cluster issues

Hello,

Had a quick question! I was at a dealer this weekend looking at a 2006 FJR blue. They had told me that speedo cluster or gauges had been replaced and that the odometer did not match how many miles were actually on the bike! Was there an issues with these? I have not seen anything on a problem so it sparked my concern! Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!

Yes there was an issue with the instantaneous MPG readout constantly ready 17 MPG. Yamaha had to replace the entire cluster. Very common on that year FJR. There should be a sticker under the glove box lid stating the mileage before replacement.
