OK, the 2006 FJR's have been out there for a little over a month and there are at least 70 something bikes now being ridden (as per the poll). However, there has been very little discsussion about the adjustible headlights. I get the feeling that not many of us ride in the dark.

On the new FJR there are two knobs fro adjusting the 2 headlights. The FJR manual is very helpful- it simply says "turn to adjust the headlights."

I tried to adjust them one evening and it was really hard to turn the knob- its not like turning clicks. I didn't want to mess with further as I was headed out and didn't want them screwed up. But the way they came set up only has light pointing up the road about 20 feet- not really optimal going 60 mph on fairly straight well paved roads. Need some more distance to increase reaction time ect.

I guess I might mess around more with them this evening- but if others already have please chime in with your experiences.

Thanks

I use to do it with my BMW every so often. I would just point my bike towards a wall from about 30 feet at night and adjust from there. That way I could see where the light was moving to as I made the adjustments.
