I have not yet heard any comments as per the comfort of the passenger on the new 06 FJR.

My wife has know ridden about 100 miles on the passenger seat. She is 5'7. She thinks it is much improved over the 2003 seat. The seat is much wider and actually sits a bit lower than the 2003. My wife mentioned that she there was much less buffeting from the wind-likely from the lower seating postion.

The only minor issue is that the passenger pegs have been moved down and a bit more forward- comfortble for the passenger, but I found that her shoes and my shoes were bumping against each other.

She also comments that there is much less vibration on her feet.

On the 2003 we had the top bag for her to use as a backrest. We don't have a backrest at present but we will likely look for a backrest built into a Corbin seat in the future as the hard bag back rest always seemed to push her forward too much.

OK, that is one passenger's perspective- are there any others?

for pictures of the both of us on the FJR (sorry, from this imac web page I can't seem to link in the normal way to post pics directly in this email). :(

Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing. :)

My wife has several pillion coments on the FJR, even though I haven't gotten mine yet.

"Why do you need another motorcycle."

"Do you think we are made of money?"

"How many mid life crisis's do you plan on having?"

"Every year it's something else, when does this all end."

I luv you too hon. :)

I recall seeing one of these rare beasts in the parking lot at WFO last year. :D

Hey, don't post that pic- post the one of my wife and I on the bike to help out with the thread.

BTW, so many of you guys have teased FJRchic and I for trailoring our bikes- yet all day on sat or sunday (or even a holiday friday) you are posting messages on the Forum- How about riding your bikes guys?

WHEN I DIE, ALL RIGHT?

It's been 25 years, can't you figure out the pattern by now and just accept it?

The stories are all the same, only the names and faces are different. ;)

Actually my wife likes the motorcycles. It's just that she recognizes the need to keep me somewhat in check or I would have a yard full of everything I see. Tractors, cars, trucks, tools. With some people they can't resit taking in a stray animal, with me it's machinery of any kind.

But we pretty much balance each other out. I always have bring her back to reality with the shoes. (3 new pair today.) She's still got a few more pair to catch up to the cost of the FJR though. :)

I think she'd smile better if you switched places!

I get the last one quite often - ideal job is writing for a motorcycle rag and doing initial reviews and long-term updates - new bike every 4-5 months - Know of any openings?
